FAQ

How can I see if the product is in stock?

- We try to keep our stock system up to date, but since many items are sold wholesale or via email, there may always be differences. The online system should work properly, but if you want to be certain, please contact us.

 

- If you ask about the current stock by email, you will usually receive a response within an hour (during working hours).

 

- We have a lot in stock! If no permit is required, your order can be shipped the same day or within 2–3 working days.

 

Can I re-export my purchase?

- According to Dutch law and regulations, DUAL-USE goods may only be traded freely within the EU. For shipments outside the EU, an export permit is required from the country of departure. Products listed on the military goods list always require a permit to leave the country, even if only temporarily.

 

- If you want to re-export a product manufactured in the USA that falls under EAR regulations, you will need approval from the United States.

 

- If you have signed an EUS form in which you declared not to re-export (for example in Germany or other countries) but still wish to do so, you must apply for permission in the country of origin.

  

What are the shipping costs at Optics-World?

- On the Shipping Policy page, you will find all the information regarding the shipping costs and delivery times of your order.

  

Does Optics-World ship internationally?

- Yes, we do this in accordance with legislation. Products such as night vision require a permit. For goods not specifically mentioned, we deliver to all countries listed in your customer registration. Additional rules apply to certain brands from the USA. 

 

Can I pick up my order from your warehouse?

- No, that is not allowed. We sell products that are classified as DUAL-USE or listed on the Military Goods List, and we can only prove to the government which end user they were sold to if we ship the goods directly to the end user’s address. This is to prevent deliveries to sanctioned countries or persons.

 

- Because there are additional regulations for certain products made in the USA, such as STA requirements, we only ship orders directly.

 

What payment options does Optics-World have?

- On this page, you will find all our payment options. 

  

Can I pay in cash at Optics-World?

- No, that is not allowed. We must account to the government for whom we sell these products, and with a cash payment, there is no way to control this.

 

How do I know if my shipment has been shipped?

- You will always receive an email from us with a tracking code. Did you not receive it? If so, please contact us. This email may also have ended up in your spam folder.

 

What risk do I have as a customer with a shipment?

- As a customer, you have the right to receive the product you paid for. We only send shipments using insured services, so you never run the risk of a lost package. If this does happen, we are insured and will either send a replacement product or refund the amount (unless stated otherwise in our terms, such as for B2B or licensed products).

 

- Did the shipping company leave your package somewhere, or did you not receive it at all? Please always contact us in such cases.

 

Do I have a warranty on my purchase?

- Of course, you always have full warranty coverage. For every product we sell, you have a factory warranty at all times, either directly or through the dealer, such as Optics-World.

 

- Is your product damaged outside of the warranty period, or due to accidental damage? In that case, we can send the product to the factory or importer for repair. The costs will be discussed with you in advance.

 

I would like to make a business purchase but have it shipped to a different address.

- We only deliver to the address registered to your company. Delivery to a different country is not possible; shipments can only be made within the same country as your company.

 

Does Optics-World offer a Military/Law Enforcement Discount?

- Yes, we certainly offer this to anyone working in the Military or Law Enforcement. For discounts or any questions, please contact one of our sales representatives.
